The Noise Blankers Radio Group activated for the first time Horseshoe Island (AR-015) on Beaver Lake in northwest Arkansas. K5H contacted 351 stations in 42 states and 16 countries. Two stations, approximately 80 yards apart, were on the air. Station #1 used a vertical antenna and station #2 used a dual-band dipole. The Noise Blankers are K5KVN, K5PO and WB0RUR.
