Biography
Original Callsign G8DAY first used around 1968, in Worcester, UK. Inactive between 1984 and June 2024 due to move to Germany, work requiring travel all over the world, and bringing up 4 children.
I reactivated G8DAY and was issued DK8DAY in 2024 after retirement.
Alternative location periodically in JO56HE Denmark, near the tourist town of Ebeltoft, at my 2nd home / summer house, beginning as OZ/DK8DAY and now licensed as OZ8DAY from March 2025. This site is close to saltwater, but at sea level. Here I am surrounded by tall trees and have lots of space for antenna experiments. Being within the Molls Bjerge national park there is almost no local electrical noise.
