Biography

I first got into radio at the age of 10 when my father got hold of a president AM 40 ch usa radio. I would listen for hours, then finally pressing the PTT. I even have to Cobra 148 GTL DX radio my father got me at the age of 12, some 40 years ago. I had a gap as I got older and CB went out of fashion. I came back some 2-3 years ago, then passed my Ham foundation licence. I love all radio, and going mobile or portable is the best, less QRM.

I have now started to use FT8 on my icom7300 and I absolutely love that mode. I get a real buzz seeing my callsign on psk reporter. Maybe our paths will cross on FT8.

Equipment

Radio is an Icom-7300 with antenna mast with a Imax2000, it often gets swapped for a beam on 50mhz of more often a 70mhz vertical. I have an Alinco DX70th as a backup mobile. But I do love the 7300, and so far not heard a bad report yet.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
