Activation of PA26WAAD on the air in order to raise awareness for the World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD). In 2026 2nd of April will be the day. We are active on all HF bands and 2m/70cm in various modes. This callsign will be operated by PF3X and NL10743. Active from March 20 to April 5, 2026.

Other callsigns including PB26WAAD, PC26WAAD, PD26WAAD, PG26WAAD & PH26WAAD are active during this event. Try to work us all.

World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day annually on April 2nd, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about individuals within the Autism spectrum throughout the world. Through amateur radio, we aim to promote understanding, support and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We challenge other amateurs to come on the air with a special call sign around April 2 and to draw attention to this matter.

QSL for this event will be handled centrally by Kees, NL10743. We will prepare a special QSL card for QSLs via bureau or direct (both via NL10743). We will also upload the logs to LOTW and eQSL. For direct QSLing, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope with $3 or €3. No IRC.
