Biography

Hi folks,

Thank you for visiting my QRZCQ page. My name is Rodger and my QTH is a town called Papakura, south of Auckland in New Zealand.
My interest was created while I was in scouts in South Africa at a young age. I went to a Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) by a very dear friend - ZS1BW (Bernie Crockford). I used to visit him a lot to learn about being a ham, and he showed me moon bounce and DX. I got my restricted license in the early 80's and started doing packet radio with a few friends (ZS1NG & ZS1BW).

In 1998 I moved the Auckland, New Zealand and converted my license to ZL1RAH.

73 and hear you on the bands.

Rodger
