| Biography I am located in Puhoi, 50km North of Auckland CBD, New Zealand - (See http://puhoinz.com). Puhoi is a small rural town which has a population of around 400. The name Puhoi is Maori for slow water, making it the perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday away from the big smoke. This village 35 minutes north of Auckland's CBD is a unique slice of Kiwi history. Early settlers hailed from Bohemia in the Czech Republic originally settled in 1863, and some of their descendants, and those of Maori descent who also lived in the area, still call Puhoi home. Equipment HF equipment includes an FlexRadio Systems FLEX-6500, Icom IC-7610, and audio equipment which connects to an electro-voice RE320 Studio Microphone. A Icom ID-5100, ID-51A and TYT MD-380 are used for analog and digital UHF and VHF communications. The station runs both Mac OS and Windows 10 which all interface to the amateur equipment. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
