| Biography Hi, thanks for dropping by. I have only recently gotten my amateur radio licence, as of August 2025. I have used radios for many years, in conjunction with my decade plus time on military aviation. The most unique place I've operated a radio would be a 2 1/2 month stint as a radio operator in Antartica.
Been retired from the service for a little over a decade and now dipping my toes in the hobby. By day I work in the electronics and electrical fields, by night a family man.
I hope to reach my first 50 contacts by end of October so that I can unlock all of the bands.
After loosing the training wheels, Id like to explore QRP. I'm excited about the many newer SDR radios, and experimenting with how far I can reach with a limited power budget.
