My name is Benz, and I'm from Palembang, an island in Indonesia.
Palembang is the capital of South Sumatra. It was once known as the center of the Srivijaya Empire, which possessed a powerful maritime fleet and dominated Southeast Asia. Numerous historical relics are preserved here and continue to be excavated.

There's also the unique Bumiayu Temple, with its clay stone structure, which was once used as a place of worship for Hindus and Buddhists.

In Pagar Alam, part of South Sumatra, there's a magnetic hill where vehicles can climb without the aid of a motor.

There's also the Tiger Cave in Ogan Komering Ulu, where ancient human remains have been found.
Every August 17th, Palembang holds a boat festival called Bidar.

Famous Palembang dishes include pempek, tekwan, model, and celimpungan, all of which are made from a mixture of fish and flour.
