Biography

Licensed since 2001

Enjoy the challenge of Summits on the Air (SOTA) and have activated several peaks in Oregon. Equipment used for SOTA includes an Elecraft KX3, end feed HF antenna (29 foot wire into a 9:1 balun supported by a 10 meter collapsible carbon fiber pole), and a Buddistick vertical. I use a 7ah LiFEPO4 battery from Bienno.

I am mainly on 40M-10M (phone and PSK31).

Professionally, I am an environmental scientist and retired from CH2M (environmental consulting) in late 2014.
