Biography

Born: 1954 Gulfport, MS

Qth: Long Beach, MS. We live about 1 mile north of the beach along the beautiful gulf of Mexico (except after hurricanes). I have lived here through a lot of hurricanes, both large and small, but the two most folk will remember are hurricanes Camile (1969) and Katrina (2005) and yes, they really destroyed the place.

Employed: NASA - John C. Stennis Space Center - Digital System Engineer I have worked in the rocket engine test field for many years and have worked on the Space Shuttle Main Engine ( SSME ) program, the Aerospike engine program, the J2X engine program and currently the RS25 and the new SLS program. I have had lots of fun over the years testing rocket engines. There is nothing quite like the rush that comes with being close to the raw brutality and power of a large scale rocket engine test. The only thing that I think might come in second is the pucker factor and exhilaration that comes with your first solo attempt at landing an aircraft. While the two are not quite the same, they will both get your attention. I enjoy both!

Activities and Interests: Private Pilot, Competition Shooter, R/C Pilot, Ham Radio and SCUBA diving are my favorite.

Radio Gear: old Kenwood TS-440S/AT w/DSP board, GAP Titan DX Multi-Band Vertical & a 10-15-20-40-80 trapped dipole.

Thanks for taking the time to view my QRZ.com page. I got my first license in 1977 and basically hung it up somewhere in the early 80's and I recently got back involved. I upgraded to Extra Class and hope to enjoy this much different hobby once again.
