Biography

Greetings everyone, welcome to my little about page!
I am a husband, father, grandfather, retired (2000) 25-year Deputy Sheriff, Life NRA Member, 32-degree Master Mason, conservative, amateur weather station operator and drone operator.

I was born and raised in S.W. Florida (Lee County), after retiring we relocated to southeastern Kentucky. My wife and I enjoy traveling in our motor home, with our two Rottweilers.

During my teen years, one of my favorite hobbies was CB radio. A few years ago, I got the itch to get back into the hobby, and on December 28th, 2026, I pursued an amateur radio operators license, passing the technician December 28th, 2025, and passing the general test a week or so later Jan 9, 2026. I will soon pursue the Extra Class.

While my main current base rig is a Yaesu FTdx101MP, with many peripherals, I still like the older equipment, I have a collection of D-104’s and am eager to attend a hamfest.

I am looking forward to all the new opportunities in the amateur radio world and meeting a lot of the many operators around the world.
