Biography
I took my novice test July 4 1976. My first call was wn3dln I then up graded to wb3dln.
I have been active in amateur radio through the entire time that I have had my license. I am president of the Pa. Grand Canyon repeater Group NR3K 147.060 and 145.270 in north central Pa. north of Williamsport, Pa. and south of Corning Ny. in the Pa. Grand Canyon.
I am also active in pro rally racing with STPR.org I am chief of sweeps, we close the course and clean and pick up the disabled cars. We use 3 high profile repeaters for this 3 day 350 mile race. There are over 150 volunteer amateur radio operators needed for this event on the first weekend in June this has been running since 1977.
I am also a life member of the Wellsboro Fire Dept. Fire Police.
Last year i retired from over the road truck driving and truck owner that lasted 37 years with over 4 million miles under my belt.
My wife is ka2vsr she had to learn the code and go to Buffalo NY. to take her test before we could get married. How is that for a wife.
