Biography

I was licensed on 02-11-1975 as WN0OQV and upgraded to General (1976), Advanced (1977) and Amateur Extra on 07-26-1985 as WB0OQV, which is still my current callsign. I had a good station setup and was an avid DX'er. I had over 300 countries on SSB and 175 on CW when i became inactive due to job changes and relocation. I am currently working on getting a new station setup and becoming active. I hope to accomplish that during 2019.


UPDATE 03/04/2020: I didnt accomplish getting on the air in 2019 but I will in 2020. I have purchased an IC-7300 and have a Princeton EF53 wire up and will be on the air soon.

UPDATE: 03/07/2020: I am back on the air after 35 years of being inactive.

UPDATE: On 05/28/2020 I ventured into the new world of digital and FT8. Thanks to WJ5L for being my first ft8 contact. I have been working on getting my code speed up also. So now I am working on WAS on all three modes. Having lots of fun since I have been back on the air.
