Biography

Age 80, cw ham with same call for 56 years, retired police officer, Chicago Illinois suburbs.
My wife and I moved to the North Woods of Wisconsin after I retired in 1988. Our retirement home is right on the boundary waters of the Menominee River which separates Wisconsin from upper Michigan. Peace and quiet and a great location for ham radio with lots of room for big wire antennas.
Other hobbies are fishing and deer bow and rifle hunting during the fall season.
Porterfield is not a real town. It is a very rural area of Marinette county. The nearest town is Marinette Wisconsin located 17 miles South.
I also operate Hamsphere 3.0 and 4.0 and CQ100 both internet systems which are great for portable operations when traveling.
