Biography

Licensed since 2002, I have experienced several facets of the hobby. Currently, I operate portable and QRP. On most Fridays I operate from a local park in Camas, Washington. On those days you'll find me on the air between 9am and 1pm Pacific Time (1700 to 2100 UTC,one hour later during DST). Primarily transmitting on 20 meters.

I participate in Winter Field Day (WFD), ARRL Field Day (FD), and occasionally the International Lighthouse Weekend. During the summer I'll travel to National Parks or historical sites to operate. Also do some contesting.

Sometimes I go back to my Technician days and operate on VHF and UHF. Frequently participate in the ARRL January VHF and the June VHF Contests.

You can check my more recent activities on Facebook at Portable In The Park:
