Biography

I was first licensed in 2003. The XYL, W6TTF was licensed in 2004. We both have our US Extra class licenses and our own stations.
I am a retired telecommunications and computer technician.
I work HF and the digital modes with 100 watts and a wire.
We participate in the US VHF contests as unlimited rovers with our friend W6TE. We placed 1st in the Unlimited Rover category in June 2013.
I am currently building a 2 meter EME station with the goal of obtaining the VUCC award.

Icom 746Pro, Buckmaster OCF dipole, Signalink USB sound card, Heil Goldline Pro Mic

Icom 910H, 1KW Comet surplus amp, Triex 51' tower. Yaesu G-5500 AZ-EL rotator controlled by a Green Heron RT21 Az/El, 2, M2 MXP22A, (17 db gain) with vertical and horizontal polarization switchable in the shack via a homebrew sequencer and controller. Dedicated homebrew PC with Windows 7 to run antenna controller, JT-65, Signalink, and other EME apps.
