Biography

I love building radio gear from scratch.

I am an AVID experimenter.

Check out my video about 1940's 4 course radio range aircraft navigation system at wa4sze.com.

I have my own airplane.

My private landing strip has full Instrument Landing System (ILS) capability. NDB approach & VOR / DME approach

I use the airplane for antenna measurements

I operate an international shortwave radio station WWRB check out our web page at www.wwrb.org see our photo gallery

The photo gallery has photos of our Rhombic antennas, our aircraft navigation facilities such as : ILS, VOR, DME, & NDB beacon

Most of my actual hamming is done aeronautical mobile using an Icom 706, Icom a4H tuner and trailing wire antenna.

Equipment

Other than the airplane HF ,...... ALL home brew all bands to 900 mhz operate multiple 4 course radio range beacons on :

10.125, 28.210, 28.224, 921 mhz DME pulse.
