Biography

I am returning to the air after four decades. There is a lot more here now and a lot less at the same time, but it is still quite enjoyable. I also use QRZ, LOTW and eQSL.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

I use an older ICOM 746Pro for HF, 2M and 6M. On VHF I kick things up with a monster Crescend amp being fed by a Mirage 170 watt amp with a low (it can do 100 stock) 30 watts drive from the transmitter. For UHF I live and breathe Motorola. My HF amp is a Cygnet SWAN 1200-W which has recently been upgraded and is extremely efficient for what it is. Other than needing an ATU on the rig to make it happy because of the PI network it has, I can get close to 900 watts out on some frequencies from 1200 watts in (it is a tube amp) and a 120 watt drive when needed.

Operating Power: HF:100w - 650w+, VHF:100w - 180w - 570w+, UHF 180w

Antennas: Anton99 (6m-10m), 10m-80m end fed (130ft), a Comet CA712EFC for GMRS (ch:16/+5m/pl:67.0) and an omni for 2m & 70cm.
