Biography

Licensed since 1973. Have operated from Augusta, ME, Bay City, MI, Brattleboro, VT., Portland,OR, Port Clyde, ME, Camden, ME, and now stations in Eustis and Appleton, ME. Mostly active on FT8/FT4 lately, but I can also be found on SSB and CW occasionally.

Other hobbies include camping, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, scuba, metal detecting, and fly fishing.

My primary station is located in Eustis, FN45re, but the Appleton station is located in FN54jh. The location will be accurately shown in LOTW, however QRZ will always show the Eustis location. I found that setting up different accounts with different aliases led to too many problems and decided it wasn't worth the hassle. If you are truly interested in my grid square at any given time, please check LOTW or email me at nmarvin1958@gmail.com. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Apache Anan 200D,Yaesu FTDX-10,Kenwood TS-590S, Icom IC-7000, and a Yaesu FT-991. In Eustis I currently run a simple dipole fed with ladder line. At an elevation of 1600 ft., it seems to do pretty well. In Appleton, I have a 50 ft. tower with a K4KIO hex beam and various wire antennas. Also sometimes use ALS-600 and ALS-1300 amps.
