Biography

Licensed first in 1968 as a Novice, my call was WN9YHX. I upgraded a few years later as a Technician Class, and my callsign became WA9YHX. I upgraded to General class in 1981. Then in 2005, I changed to a vanity callsign (my initials) K9WSS. Then, in 2017, I changed my vanity call to W9WSS. Upgraded to Extra Class in August 2019. I'm a retired law enforcement officer, and after I retired, I worked in a two-way radio shop, then started working for a hospital as a security officer. I'm also interested in collecting movie and television soundtracks, enjoy attending car shows, and also collect police memorabilia.

Equipment

Way too many to list, including hand-helds, mobiles, base stations, and a myriad of antennas.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
