Biography

Hello and Greeting's, My name is Mike and been into radio's since the age of 10 and going on 35 years old now i back in 6/23/2010 i became a tech class operator and was "KC9SRQ" and i upgraded to general class in 4/26/2011 and my father that was a fireman for 34 years was battling bladder cancer and i was taking care of him from help of his wife/ my mother and my fiance' Rachel. He lost the battle in May of 2011 and i signed up before he went to a vanity call sign as "W9VLE" which the suffix is my fathers initials (V.L.E.). I upgraded to extra in 9/20/2011 and also am a ( V.E.C. ) VOLUNTEER EXAMINER COORDINATOR for Rushville, Indiana and this 2012 is my first year giving the test around this area in over 15+ years. I enjoy everything there is about Amateur Radio from being a member of (N.A.T.A. NET, O.M.I.S.S. NET, AND MANY OTHERS). I like to work contest's and arrl field day events which is always in June here in Indiana as of across the U.S.A. I like to work alot of "HF DX" AND psk-31,rtty, aprs and other digital modes and love collecting "QSL CARDS AND STAMPS FROM ALL OVER" but besides being on the radio I enjoy spending time with my children and going fishing and hunting
and camping or visiting other ham radio buddies shacks and doing a good ole' face to face rag-chew. I am also a SKY WARN WEATHER SPOTTER for rush county and have deep interest's in weather and tornadoes and etc...So that's a little about me, thanks for stopping by and happy DX'ING!!
