Biography

Work CW & SSB, mostly DX and contesting. My contesting is not serious, but just for the fun and enjoyment.

I am also very active in USAF MARS, call sign AFA2RU. Enjoy activities as both an NCS or ANCS on the nets.

Have been licensed since 1960 when I started as KN9YPT in Sheboygan , WI. Later on, sfter a period of inactivity, I became N2XHG, in Liverpool, NY. I finally changed my call to that of my Uncle, who began as a ham in 1920 as "9DVY" in Manitowoc, WI and became W9RUK. I chose to carry on with his call and keep it in the family.
