Biography

First licensed in 1956 at age 13, have held 5 callsigns as I wandered through the country. Finally moved back to state of origin (Michigan) in 1990. Assigned W9NPI (Illinois) since 1973, but haven't changed it because of my gathered notoriety.

Cut my teeth on CW traffic nets (QMN) with Tate, W8FX as my mentor. Was active in Detroit Civil Defense in my teens, Army and Navy MARS.

Active in License Classes, VE testing, and Elmering with the Hazel Park Amateur Radio Club (Michigan).

Created a series of lectures about the history of Telegraphy, Radio, and Recording which I presented to four of the Antique Wireless Association's international conventions, as well as to Detroit metro radio clubs.
