Biography

I acquired my tech ticket in '91 as N9MQY, was active for ten years then life got in the way and went silent. In '05 I became W9CLL even though I was not active on the bands.

I started to get eager again in 2010 and back into the hobby. My current setup is an Icom 706MKIIG in the car and a Yaesu Ft-101ZD MKIII in the shack. Antenna is multi-band inverted V and a High Sierra Sidekick for mobile. I hopefully will be putting up a hex beam sometime over the summer lord willing and the creek doesn't rise.

Aside from holding a General class ham call I also hold a GROL

If in the Chicago area tune 146.550 during am/pm drive and give a call.
