Interest in HAM radio began in 1953. First ticket 1963-64 as WN8KYU.1971 to 1998 WB8LJZ. 1998 W8LJZ. Likes 20 Meter DX but still gets to 80-10 Mtrs when able. Equipment Icom 7300, Heath SB220 & 200 amp. Antennas, Mosley TA-33 up tower 35' also GAP Challenger DX-VIII. Two meter antennas and mobile gear also handhelds.Member of M.A.R.C.O. and Johnson Space Center Amateur Radio Club. Has run phone patch traffic for Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station United States Antarctic Program and for missionaries in the Amazon Jungle.Would like to fox hunt but has not yet and has equipment for this purpose.Wife is Kate Patterson a singer of note in this region and several countries overseas.Has interest in family history and other hobbies.Travels throughout USA and overseas with wife for work and vacation as much as possible.Has done metal detecting since 1985.You may find some of the video performances Kate has done over the years on the Internet by searching under singer Kate Patterson or Kate Patterson singer on youtube or google.
