I am just getting back into CW after a 50 year hiatus, using MFJ-564 Paddles so if we had a less then stellar QSO in that mode, rest assured it was my fault. (update, receiving about 15 to 18WPM now depending on your fist)

On HF, currently running an IC-7300 with mAT-180H MatTuner and ASTRON RS-35M P/S with a G5RV antenna and a CHA-250B Vertical antenna on a 40' tower.

On UHF/VHF a QYT model KT-8900R with a Tram Tri-Band antenna as Base Station and BTech (Baofeng) UV-25X4 Mobile. Of course the ubiquitous Baofeng HT's.

Started in Radio back in the 1960's as SWL. Going into the Navy, I wanted to be an Electronics Tech., but didn't know that rate existed so when asked what I was interested in I said Radio, and ended up a Radioman. I served aboard the USS Fort Mandan LSD-21 "NGZL" (OJT) before going to Radioman Class "A" School. My first duty after that was Naval Communications Unit Midway Island. "NQM" . So when I finally got back into radio in 2019 I asked for the call sign W7NQM. Served in Vietnam with Inshore Undersea Warfare Group One (IUWG-1) call sign "Lizard" 1968. So now hang out at VFW Post 2350.

I am a retired Police Officer Started in 1973 with Alameda County S.O. (Calif.) As a Reserve Deputy, but could not get on full time because of "Afirmative Action" today called "diversity equity and inclusion" (All California departments froze hiring of non minorities until quotas where met). So I took a job with the Yerington, NV P.D. and a year later moved to Elko for a better paying job. Recieved the LEO Purple Heart in 1978 and Retired in 1997, and now enjoy my time traveling with XYL. Have been to all 50 states multiple times, and many (25) foreign countries.

Upon request, I will send JPG of QSL card for you to print. Make sure I have correct e-mail.
