| Biography I am a retired Texas State Guard Army Signals officer and US Marine Sgt veteran. I earned my Technician license in the summer of 2011. I am currently operating my base shack with a Yaesu F897 pushing 100 watts through a Comet GP15 and a UHV4 Comet and a Chamleon EMCOMM V2 at about 25 ft from ground level. I use a Diamond W8010 antenna for HF with my ICOM 7300. I also use a Yaesu 7800 for monitoring 2m and when I am out and about I use a Yaesu 8900. I have an AA Degree from National University, BSCS from Texas A&M and a MSCIS from Boston University. I served in the USMC from 82-89 and that is where I gained my electronics knowledge and interest in radios.I was an Texas State Guard Army Signals and Civil Affairs officer with 13 years.
