Biography

Vintage 1945 Hamming since 1958
I was a mentor and operated a middle school ham radio club as well as taught the Novice/Tech courses.
Organized and set up a SAREX contact from the school to STS-78
Am an avid alpine skier as well as bicycler, hiker and mountain climber
Retired airline pilot
Have operated from several locations such as HC8 and 4U1ITU
I have two homes with ham stations. One in North Texas and another in Colorado
I enjoy contesting - especially RTTY contests in which I often operate SO2R or SO2V

Two complete Elecraft K3 stations with remote capability
Antennas: lots of wires in pine trees in Colorado and someday a tower w another Steppir yagi
