Biography

Have been a ham radio op since 1989. So 23 years of being a ham and i know the spirit.

Mostly active on HF these days. Also have VHF/UHF capability here.

We love to Dx and meet/eyeball QSO with hams around the world.

We do eQSL just to help others out, but we only track Lotw for awards.

Please SASE for US stations. For Dx stations, Self addressed envelope + 1 IRC or
$2 will help. The US postal just raised rates and the international mailing went
over $1 in January 2012.

My Son collects stamps, so if you prefer to send some stamps for his collection,
please do so and feel free to skip the return postage requirement and we will
gladly send you a QSL card. If you need US stamps for your collection, please let
me know as well.

I love to work the weak stations running attic dipoles or long wires and perhaps
give them a new one for a band fill. I do find it heartening to see that there are
some stateside stations that put a carrier when i work DX. This goes against the
ham spirit. If you need the frequency or have an issue with the signal, please
stop by and ask. If i cannot hear your problem, i cannot work out a solution. You
are depriving the little guys in some Dx corner his/her QSO. We run QRO to yagi's
all the time, and upgrading to better equipment here in the station, so you are not
going to wipe me out. Sorry, just put your time/equipment/effort to better serve
the community instead of being a QRM. The FCC monitoring station is up in
Laurel Maryland and they can push a few buttons on their computer and it puts a
bearing on your carrier right on their monitor. They have unmarked squad cars with
an entire Receive setup in their trunks. They will knock your doors. So Beware.
