Biography

I am an electrical contractor located in Matthews, NC USA. I have an associate degree in Electrical/Electronics from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC in 1975. I was first licensed as WN4EUO as a Novice in 1963, later got my General ticket and was issued WB4DAV. Then the Advanced license, and changed my call to WB4DAN, and now I have an Extra Class license and changed my call again to W4MNC. My main radio is a Kenwood TS-940SAT. I work mainly "barefoot," but have a Yaesu FL-2100B if I need a little more power. I have a good bit of electronic test equipment and plan on getting everything orderly and take a profile picture one day. Lately, I have been working mostly the digital modes like JT-65 and PSK-31. Ham radio is relaxing to me, and sometimes I just sit and tune around and listen to other "ragchews." I have a couple of old Hammarlund tube radios for that, also. Good day, and hope to work you on the bands! 73....Dan
