Biography

I am a DX Chaser for the most part & my Favorite band is 6 meters.I do NOT collect awards from the ARRL I just keep my own records.I have worked & confirmed 49 states on 6 meters & just need Alaska for my personal WAS.My Favorite HF band is 17 meters.I also Love working DX from my mobile of HF so I hope to catch you there.Look me up on YouTube under my name & watch & listen to me singing Classic Country Music & Southern Gospel music as well.73 & God bless!

Equipment

HOME STATIONS:ICOM 7610 with a "RED" HEIL FIN,ICOM PW-1 amplifier, ICOM 9100 as my backup HF/6 meter radio & for 2 meter & 432 & D-STAR with an EV RE-320 microphone. I also have a Yaesu FT-920 as a backup for the 7610 & 9100 if needed. For local 2 meter & 440 FM I sometimes use an ICOM 2730a in the shack or the 9100. I also now have an ICOM 703+ to do some QRP operating & I'm having a lot of FUN with it so I may get hooked on QRP to go with my QRO Operating. I now also have an ICOM ID-51a Plus 2 HT for D-STAR work from home with my DVMEGA. All of the transceivers are connected to a ClearSpeech Base modules for even more listening pleasure. Antennas are: MOSLEY TA-53M (10-40) at 40 ft, an M2 6M5X at 45 ft, a Cushcraft R5 vertical at 25' a Hi-Gain VB-214FM at 50 ft, & a DIAMOND V-2000A vertical at just 35 ft for 2,6, & 440 & a Hi-Par SATURN Loop for 6 meter SSB. In my mobile I have an ICOM 7000 with a Little TARHEEL HP. An ICOM 4100a with a Diamond 7500SG NMO for my 2 meter & 440 FM & D-STAR work from my mobile. I also now have Echolink in my shack & on my iPhone. I also do a little DMR & have an AILUNCE HD1 HT at home but everything about DMR & the HT are New to me & it's a rather large learning curve. That is all of the Digital modes that I use. If it requires my computer talking to another computer & me not using a microphone, then I have less than ZERO interest. If I want my computer talking to another computer, I'll send an email. It is very Impersonal to me so I don't use it & don't see why anyone would? Look me up on YouTube & listen to my music videos & tell me what you think if you like Classic Country or Gospel music. Just type my name in the search box & ENJOY! I just recorded a Classic Country Music CD in March 2017 as well. {:>) I have just started BASS FISHING again as well & since I am now retired so maybe it will be more fun knowing I can go any day & stay all day if I like. Also, there are No SASE or Green Stamps required for any QSL card so if I get your card you will get mine direct for QSO's & SWL's as well as long as you are in my paper logbooks. I'd love to add your card to my QSL card collection. I do NOT use LoTW, QRZ.com Logbook, nor eqsl just real paper QSL's through the mail QSL cards & stamps! I just DO NOT use ELECTRONIC LOGBOOKS "PERIOD".(Not my way of QSLING)! Thanks & God bless! {:>) I am a RETIRED (30 Years) Law Enforcement Officer.

DX Code Of Conduct

dx code of conduct small logoI support the "DX Code Of Conduct" to help to work with each other and not each against the others on the bands.
