My novice call sign, KN3UZE, was received Sept. 11, 1962.
W3JMS, Albert Cavaleer, gave me the novice test summer 1962.
Heathkit DX-60 & Hallicrafters S40B, Heathkit Q multiplier.
Primarily used 80. Some of the most memorable QSOs were as a novice. During the first month, I met KN3SVB (K8JW), KN3SVA (K3SVA), KN3TKJ (K3TKJ) & KN3RUQ (K3RUQ). We continue to see / visit each other to this day. Graduated University of Maryland, College Park, BS Industrial Engineering plus 14 post graduate credits. With 2 friends from a very large hifi store, we started a high end audiophile store, DKL Sound Lab in Silver Spring, MD. The shop designed several modifications to specialty audiophile products. Exclusive dealership for Audio Research tube preamps and amps, Tympani and Magnepan speakers, Conrad - Johnson tube electronics, linn sondek turntables, hand tuned Decca phono cartridges and other accessories.
