Biography

I've been a licensed since about 1960. I was elmered by several Hams that were members of the IBM Amateur Radio Club in Endwell, NY. W2YLM spent many hours helping me build equipment and teaching me proper operating habits. I got away from Ham Radio for about a period of ten years following a divorce. I returned to the hobby when I began traveling internationally for 3M Company. Ham Radio was a great way to meet people during my travels, in addition to keeping in touch with those back home. About 20 years ago I was bitten by the DX bug and have been chasing new countries/entities ever since. About 65% of my activity is on CW, 20% on SSB, and the remaining time spent on RTTY. I am a retired Quality/Reliability manager. Married for 36 years to my awesome bride, Mary Lou.

I have received a number of QSL requests for:
W0AW/0, W0AW/1, W0AW/2, W0AW/3, W0AW/4, W0AW/5, W0AW/6, W0AW/7, W0AW/8, and W0AW/9
The correct callsigns were W1AW/1, W1AW/2, etc. This was part of the ARRL Centennial Celebration which I did not take part in.

I do take QSL requests for the following callsigns:

VP2V/W0AW, J8/W0AW, G5DEK, VK2DGH
