Biography
My name is Harry Frey and I am a long-time SWL/DX enthusiast going back to the late 1980's when my dad gave me a small and inexpensive analog multi-band portable radio.
I currently reside in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in the far-western Florida panhandle.
SWL is a major part of my daily listening routine, but I also very much enjoy utility stations (USCG weather, Navtex, MWARA), hurricane watch net (for obvious reasons living in Florida), amateur digital decoding (MFSK, PSK, RTTY, SSTV), MW DX'ing, pirate hunting, and amateur CW.
My shack set up includes: Tecsun S2200x, Tecsun PL-880, ATS-25 Pro+Air, MFJ-1045c and 1046 RF preselectors, Terk loop antenna, Fire 8 Plus Tablet, as well as my awesome home-made 100'sloper V dipole antenna.
Although rarely used anymore, I still have my Sangean 803A (my first REAL shortwave receiver!) and Sangean 909 as reserve back ups.
Current member of the ISWL and very excited to have become a recent QRZCQ member!
Thanks and 73 to all!
Harry
