Biography

Dear Visitor, Greetings! I am an electronic engineer by profession and hobby! I have been interested in ham radio since the late 1980s when I was in high school and I take an active interest in HF operation, SWL, homebrewing and restoration/repair of radios. I run a FT747, an ancient ICOM marine M800, or an R8500 with a homebrew Tx, and sometimes a partially working FT1000D. My antenna is a 60 feet doublet fed with ladder line, and depending on the man made noise in my heavily urban location, near New Delhi, the capital of India, I am QRV from 80 till 10m! I am mostly barefoot except very rarely I run a 4 x GU50 homebrew amplifier to keep the tubes warm HI HI!


I am more active on HF during the weekends, mostly on FT8 and if the band is open on SSB or straight key CW too.
