Biography

Amateur Radio operator since 1973 in New York (WN2LEW). General license in 1974 (WA2LEW). Moved to Seattle in 1981 and worked at sea as well as WA2LEW/7 and WA2LEW/KL7.

Moved to Australia in 1986 and became VK4BOK in Queensland. In 1993, moved to current QTH as VK7SM. Enjoy CW primarily but also on JT65 and PSK31 modes. Use SKYPE and IRLP if needed to touch base.

Look forward to working many hams in the future on the bands.

Current equipment is:

Yaesu FT-950 as well as a Yaesu FT-890 TCVR. Antennas are MFJ 1775 Rotatable Dipole (40-10m)up 6 metres and MFJ 1788 High Q Loop for 40-15m up 3 metres off the ground.

Digital equipment is Signal Link USB and HP Pavillion PC. Output maximum 100W.
