Biography

I am a Radio Communications Technician by Trade, now retired, after running my own RadCom business for 35 years. Hobbies are occasional Fishing & Boating, I have a very under used 7 Mtr 1/2 Cabin Cruiser, My XYL & I enjoy Caravanning around Australia & I also enjoy Motor Cycling although I have sold off 3 of my motorcycles and only have a 1947 BSA A7 classic remaining. My XYL does not share that same passion with me. My QTH is in Berri South Australia, a town situated on the River Murray. I have a 25 Metre self standing tower which supports my 2 Mtr antenna & one end of my 3 wire Broad Band Dipole. I have a winch up tower supporting my Tri Bander. The main radio is an Icom IC-7400 + may others including a Yaesu FT-101ZD, FL-2100Z, FC-901 & Yaesu desk mike which is really fun to use. When Mobile, I have a IC-2100 fitted with a auto Tune antenna.
