Biography

New to amateur radio having obtained Foundation licence in Dec 2017 and Advanced in May2018. Trained as RAAF Radio technician Aircraft in the 70's. and started a computer shop in the 80,s. Doing my advanced licence refreshed all my analogue radio theory but I have so much to learn in the digital world of radio which makes this an exciting hobby for me. Equipment

Started with a Second hand Yaesu 857D and Versa Manual antenna tuner. Added a Yaesu 991A coupled with an Ameriton 811 Linear and a Daiwa CNW-518 swr/tuner into a Dual 17m (all the room I've got) trapped dipole 8m above ground with 4 bands tuned. 80m, 40m 20m 15m.
