I'm Mark from Lilydale on the eastern edge of Melbourne, Australia.


My radio journey started as a teenager in 1982, with UK CB.

In the early 90's I got into scanning, mainly airband at UK Airshows, but soon found

some of the other "interesting" items in the UK frequencies.

At the end of the millenium the "interesting" transmissions dissapeared due to digital

switchovers, so my interest waned.



More recently, with the cheap chinese radios hitting the market, my interest came back

and I bought a Baofeng, then a Quansheng, then another Baofeng. The "Bug" had

bitten me.


I Have been a Ham since Mid 2024, with an Icom ID52A

and in Oct 2025 got my "buy once, cry once" Yaesu FTX-1 Field.

Finally got C4FM working with Wires-X with the March update for the FTX

I use a Diamond VX50 for 2m &70cm and a JPC 12 for HF
