Biography

Had my amateur call since 2008, my favourite thing is operating portable, although I don't get much chance to do that at the moment.

Started using digital modes mid-December 2017, mostly Olivia. I really like digital, so far Olivia is my favourite mode - have not had much success with other modes.

Bands I work are 40/20/10 - With the new tower (see below), I will be able to get active on more bands and get some of the existing antennas up a bit higher as well.

The new tower will also allow me to better update my ADS-B antenna system which will be placed near the top of the tower with a filter and receive amp. Once the tower and antennas are up the ADS-B radar will be back online on my site.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

Yaesu FT-891 and a bunch of low dangling dipoles.

Other stuff...
- AVAIR AV-1000 VSWR/Power Meter
- Boafeng UV-5r/E
- Exicom/MAS 9150 Commercial Aviation receivers
