Biography

My father Bill Sr. was the original VE3AAA having been granted his license January 12, 1936. Bill Sr. was 16 at the time. Upon his passing in the fall 0f 2007 I wrote the exam at a local ham meet and via the Canadian rules was able to acquire the call sign in November 2007 with the classification of Basic+ . Can't say I'm at avid HAM but I do get a kick out of the magic of a HF radio and 32ft of wire lets you talk 'around the globe'. Worked for Motorola for 20yrs so I have to admit VHF & local Rptrs still feel like work. If the radio is on I usual monitor 14.300 or mornings 7.268.
