Biography

Licensed since 1983. Mainly active on FT8 on HF right now.
Have finally got VHF/UHF back into the vehicles. Working the local 80m nets either from the shack or mobile when I've got a chance.

Worked DXCCs:

Equipment

New in the shack is a FlexRadio F4400 that I'm still getting used to but really having some fun with. I also have a FT-991 that is now mostly just on 2m SSB and 2m and 70cm repeaters. Have tried to get on the ISS repeater but no luck so far. For HF I have a 20m shortend dipole in the garage rafters, end fed for 40m to 10m, an inverted V on 80m that wraps part way around our small city lot and another dipole for 6m. Also have an FT-857D with Opek 400B antenna and LDG YT-100 autotuner installed in my commuter car and an FTM-300DR mounted in our other vehicle.
