Biography

My name is Andrey (Andy), and I was born in 1966.
In my youth, from 1980 to 1983, I worked as an operator for a club radio station.
In 1983, I entered university. There, I received a degree in radio engineering and a radio engineering degree.
After a 40-year hiatus, while still learning Morse code, I received my license and callsign UB3ZJQ in 2024.
On February 5, 2026, my callsign changed and I was issued a certificate for the callsign RM5Z. I have repeatedly contacted QRZCQ technical support to resolve the issue—RM5Z is registered to a different operator. For over 48 hours now, QRZCQ staff have been unable to resolve the issue of changing and updating the callsign information for RM5Z. It is a pity that the staff of the QRZCQ website cannot solve a simple problem and help me edit the call sign RM5Z.
