Biography

My name is Nicholas, licensed amateur radio operator SY1FBV based in Elefsina, Greece (QTH: KM17VX13GD). I am active across HF, VHF, and UHF, with a strong interest in portable operations, digital modes, and satellite communication.

I enjoy exploring every aspect of radio—from classic voice contacts to modern digital experimentation—and I am constantly expanding my station, skills, and technical knowledge.

I am active on:

HF bands (20m, 40m, 10 ) for DX and regional contacts

VHF/UHF repeaters across Attica and the nationwide network

ISS APRS (145.825) and ISS SSTV (145.800)

FM satellites such as SO‑50 and PO‑101

Portable HF/POTA activations and field operations

I particularly enjoy low‑power (QRP) operation and experimenting with antennas for portable use.
