Biography
My name is Robert (SP5BB) and I am a radio amateur focused mainly on long-distance (DX) communications. DX has always been my main interest, and I enjoy operating in various modes, from voice to digital.
I am also interested in antenna design and construction, with a particular focus on Cubical Quad antennas. My station is based on a Yaesu FTdx10 covering bands from 160m to 4m, and a Yaesu FTM-510D for 2m and 70cm operation.
Currently, I use several antennas including an EndFed and a fan dipole for 160m, 80m and 40m bands. For higher bands, I operate a 5-element Yagi for 10m, as well as multiband antennas such as the Grazioli FE10V and MV6 covering 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m and 6m. For VHF/UHF, I use a Diamond X-510N antenna for 2m and 70cm.
In the future, I plan to expand my station with directional Yagi antennas for 2m and 70cm. I am also currently exploring digital modes such as FT8 and FT4. My mentor in this area is Andrzej SP5IDR.

Equipment
My primary HF communication setup is the Yaesu FTDX10 with a 12 band equalizer designed by UR6QW and UX4LA, along with a Shure SM7B microphone.
The antennas I use include the vertical Grazioli FE10V for 10 meters and the Grazioli MV6 for the 20, 17, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meter bands. I also use horizontal antennas, including a 5 element Yagi for 10 and 11 meters.
My station also includes HyEndFed wire antennas covering bands from 80 to 10 meters, as well as a three band fan dipole for 160, 80 and 40 meters.
An additional transceiver mainly used for digital modes is the Yaesu FT-450D with the U5Link interface.
For the 2 meter and 70 centimeter bands I use the Yaesu FTM-510D with Diamond X510N and Sirio CX430 antennas.
I also own the handheld Yaesu FT5D.
In my car I use the Retevis RT95 with the Diamond SG-7900 Super Gainer antenna.
