The Visitor´s Amateur Radio Station in Utanede, Sweden, SI9AM says Thank You and Goodbye!

In the autumn of 2020 SI9AM´s board decided to close the Visitor´s Amateur Radio Station. Profitability has been poor for several years and almost all rental has ceased after the covid-19 pandemic broke out.

We are pleased to announce that the radio station in Utanede will be taken over on January 1, 2021 by the newly formed radio association "Utanede Radio Club". The board of SI9AM wish Utanede Radio Club Good Luck!

At the two annual major Thai festivities in Utanede on July 19 and October 23, the call SI9AM perhaps can be heard on the amateur radio bands.

The board of SI9AM would like to express a big Thank You to the association SSA, all visiting radio amateurs, all hams who has worked SI9AM in Utanede and everyone who has supported us since the opening of the Visitor’s station on July 19, 2000.

Finally, we can inform you that the call SI9AM will be taken over by Sundsvall's Radio Amateurs, SK3BG. The future administration of SI9AM QSL cards, awards etc. will be handled by SK3BG.
