Biography
My name: Aljoša Gačnik (international pronunciation ALYOSHA GACHNIK) born and living in Isola-Slovenia on the coast of the Adriatic Sea near Trieste.
I made the HAM class back in 1993. More or less since the early years, I was happy to use CB, homemade walkie-talkie, radio detectors ...but then come other life priorities (wife, home, children) until a few years ago. I've pull out my old VHF/UHF handheld transceiver and start with HAM radio again.
First I bought the FT-818ND, I made bunch of portable antennas, antenna tuners, and other portable gears. At home, I used this QRP RIG with homemade QRP tuner connected to my roof mounted CB vertical antenna.
Then…my new acquisition: FT991A and HyEndFed 23m 80-40-20 band. :-)
The latest installation was FT-891 and ATAS120A in my Citroen 2CV Charleston.
I love working QRP and Portable.
See U on the band. 73
