| Biography Born in 1954 and ham since 1971. My first callsign was PY2FRW. With that callsign I´ve worked and confirmed almost 300 DXCC countries. In 2004 I´ve changed the callsign to PY2XC, shorter and easier for DX, and restarted the DXCC hunting game from the very beginning. As a CW enthusiast, sometimes (but not frequenty) I venture in SSB, RTTY and PSK for DX, contests and, of course, learn and practice some other languages. Living in the very middle of a huge city (11.3 million inhabitants in the big city and 22.8 millions inhabitants in the metropolitan area) and due to space constraints, I have a 8 element Log Periodic that fits perfectly in my roof´s available area. As expected, man-made electromagnectic noise is frequently a nightmare. My transceiver is a quite old an reliable Kenwwod TS 50 S. A Collins 30L1 amplifier helps me a lot to be heard when the occasion demands. My QSOs are uploaded to several on-line QSLing and log sites such as QRZ, LoTW, ClubLog and eQSL in regular basis.
