Biography

Iniciei minhas atividades como Radioamador em 1979 como classe “B” usando o indicativo PY2VSP tendo feito 2515 QSO´s e em 20 de Setembro de 1985 mudei meu indicativo para PY2CQM, em homenagem a meu pai Rubens que usava este indicativo desde 1960 quando ele se tornou radioamador. Em 16 de Agosto de 1997 me tornei classe “A” e em 13 de Outubro de 2088 após ter feito 4815 QSO´s com este indicativo achei que já havia prestado homenagem suficiente ao meu pai e resolvi trocar meu indicativo para PY2CAZ que são as letras iniciais do meu nome.



"I started my activities as amateur radio in 1979 as class "B" using the call PY2VSP; after 2515 QSO´s on 20 September 1985 I changed my call to PY2CQM, in honor of my father Rubens that died on 14 October 1984 and had used this call since 1960 when he became an amateur radio. On 16 August 1997 I became class "A" and on 13 October 2008 after making 4815 ´ QSO's with this call I concluded that I had already honered my father the way I would like to, so I decided to change my call to PY2CAZ which has the initial letters of my name."
