Biography

Hello and Welcome,
I am 53 years young as of this posting.
My marital status is: Married

Kids / son Mitchel 18 Years Old / daughter Alicia 20 Years old

Been a ham since November 2002. Mostly SSB.

I have been interested in radio communications since the age of 9. At the age of 42, I studied to get my novice licences.
When I was in my teens I got interested in CB radio. I lost interest in CB radio in my early 30 and sold my equipment.

In 2002 I decided I would try for my Amateur radio licences. I studied on and off for about a year and then I was ready to take the test. Passed my exam in November 2002.

I now operate on HF. I mostly hang out on the 20 and 40 meters bands and like to work DX and contests.

I also enjoy working with computers, especially with the software side, but also the hardware side to some extent. My third biggest hobby is collecting and digging for fossils.

Beeing also a really outdoor person and enjoying life.

Hope to catch you on the air! 73 Gerard.
